Edesa Bitbadal is a long time resident of San Jose District 10 and a proud graduate of Leland High School. Edesa has nearly 15 years of public service experience in San Jose. She currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Planning Commission for the City and has worked hard as a policy aide to San Jose
Council members Linda LeZotte and Council member Kansen Chu developing policies to support San Jose residents and small busineses including fiscal reform policies, women’s health education efforts, public safety programs, homework centers, job creation strategies, and environmental protection initiatives.
In addition, for nearly 10 years, Edesa worked as a Redevelopment Officer for the City of San Jose’s Redevelopment Agency where she managed high profile projects to assist small business owners through business attraction and retention programs (e.g., façade improvement initiatives) and helped lead the development of Smart Start Child Care centers throughout San Jose.
